First of all, I am sorry that you are here.

However, I am glad that you are here if it can lead you to help.

Welcome to Beyond Grief and Loss.

It seems everyone is going to therapy. What is it, and what is the goal?

Therapy is one path to learning about yourself and discovering who you are. Some forms of therapy are very goal directed. Others require you to find answers under a therapist’s guidance as you overturn metaphorical rocks in your life.

A therapist can help you change your behavior, overcome fears that hold you back, and understand relationships better. Therapy is a powerful way of discovering ourselves and who we are in relationship to others.

Therapists do not advise—it is up to you to discover the right path for you.

“We have an understanding that talking, doing, gaining new insight, and discovering new pathways into ourselves can calm storms of the soul.”
